Treatment For Large Pores On Face

Large pores can appear on the skin of woman of any age. Those with oily skin are more liable to get large pores. If proper timely care is not taken, the pores will continue to grow. It is better that these should be treated at early stages.

Large pores are usually found on T zone of the face. These are openings of the hair follicles on the surface of the skin. Oil from oil glands underneath finds its way through these pores to lubricate the surface of skin. The area around the nose has maximum oil glands, and consequently more pores, needing extra care.

Large pores can be genetic or formed due to hormonal changes due to puberty or menopause. The skin of those people having excessive oil is likely to have acne, blackheads and large pores. Other causes can be damage to the skin due to sun burns and dehydration. Use of excessive makeup and improper skin hygiene can also result in large pores.

There are no ways to make the large pores shrink and fully vanish, but the steps can be taken to reduce the affect on appearance:

  • Micro-derma-brasion is a process which can help rejuvenate the skin and lessen the appearance of large pores. With the help of a gadget, tiny crystals are sprayed on the face of a woman. The skin is roughed up, the clogged pores open and the dead skin forming the upper layer of skin is removed.
  • Chemical peel is another method to remove large pores. Certain specialised chemicals are used to penetrate deep into the skin through the pores. This removes the damaged layer of the skin. The new layer formed gives a better look.
  • Resurfacing the skin using laser is the latest procedure that can help eliminate large pores. Laser is used to tone, lift and tighten the skin and has long term effect.
  • A mixture of oat meal and gram flour is a good skin toning substance. These mixed with lemon juice and rose water is applied on face as a face pack. This pack helps dry out oil from the skin and improve appearance. Pure honey or after mixing with lemon juice and sugar can be used to massage the face. This also helps remove oil from the pores and tone up the skin. A paste of honey and milk powder or salt and butter can be used to reduce pores.
  • The face should be regularly scrubbed using a scrubber made of natural products. This helps remove dead skin and new rejuvenated skin will come for better look.
  • Steaming of face can be of great help to remove excessive oil and reduce, minimize the pores.
  • The best is not to expose the skin to direct sunlight and keep it fully hydrated. Eat proper diet to provide all nutrients to skin.
