They suffer from a milder attack as compared to women who are not active in life and also do not take proper care of the diet. This inactive life style is responsible for poor blood circulation, water retention in body and collection of toxins in fat cells, making the effect of cellulite much worse.

The treatment of cellulite involves moving or removing the fat collected in any part of the body. This can be done by toning up the muscles of the affected parts of the body or by removing toxin material from the body and finally by the surgical process called liposuction.

The non surgical methods include total control on the diet of the patient. The quantity of fat intake is reduced to minimum so that the least quantity of fat is formed and gets accumulated. To reduce fats certain pills are also administered to the patient. Some herbal teas are also said to be helpful. To tone up muscles yogic exercises and other exercises should be performed under expert guidance. Smoking, drinking and such excesses should be strictly controlled. Effort should be to ensure that the affected parts get maximum exercise. It is essential that the patient drink about eight glasses of water in a day so that the toxic substances present in the body are removed.

Massage by an expert can also help the patient. The object of this is to massage the affected parts so that fat accumulated is moved and slowly it disperses in the blood and is thrown out of the body with urine. Saunas and steam therapy can also help to break down fat molecules.

Liposuction is a surgical treatment for cellulite. The process involves suction of excess fat from the body. This is a complex process and services of a licensed and experienced surgeon should be used, as even a minor surgery carries with it an element of risk. Patients with heart problems, those suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes should not undergo this surgical treatment. After the surgery is done effort should be to continue with other precautions so that there is no further fat accumulation.
